Pineapple Green Cheek Conure by SolarDiamond Pineapple Green Cheek Conure by SolarDiamond
A Green Cheek Conure with the "pineapple" color mutation, alongside a Mourning Glory.

Sadly the pretty little conure this ornament was modeled after had passed away.
I love how the beak on this one turned out. usually the beaks I paint are black, so this was a nice little change.

My ornaments are sculpted with polymer clay and painted with acrylics, sealed with matte varnish, and the eyes sealed with brilliant gloss glaze for a realistic shine.

Dimensions (approx):
3"h x 3"w x 1/4"thick
76mm x 76mm x 6mm thick

Beautiful and lifelike. It bears a striking resemblance to my own pineapple conure, though Roxton has a lighter colored beak and the yellow feathers don't extend above his eyes. Pretty cool that these little guys can have such a varied appearance.

Thank you. Green Cheeks are my favorite species of conure simply for the impressive range of color the various mutations offer. There is a breeder who specializes in Green Cheeks mutations that are absolutely gorgeous. Here is a link to their website's gallery if you're interested: www.feathert.com/greencheekgen…

I had no idea there were so many! Truth be told, a lot of those look so much alike I can't really spot the differences. Cinnamon and Pineapples in particular are incredibly close.

Thanks :] Texturing the feathers is my favorite part, I think.
